Sick. Again.

Highly contagious eye infections on top of the normal cold. Great. Please let Spring come early this year!!!

Food Storage is inspired!

Food storage IS inspired. I thought that today as I opened a jar of peanut butter and was thankful that I had purchased it months ago. :)

Better.

Today was a bit better..but I felt sick. Ugh. Aunt Flo came to visit for the first time in 3 years. I was not ready for that. Nat and Seth (the two sickest) go to the Dr. tomorrow for "well-baby" visits (perhaps, not-so-well :) Maybe the Dr will have a magic cure to get rid of this for good! If only! This has really wiped me out. I don't remember it being so bad in previous years. Isn't winter over yet???

One good thing that happened today is that Geo's winter camp-out that was scheduled for the weekend got canceled. Thank goodness! I want to have some help with all these sick-o kids. Plus, I really didn't want him to die from hypothermia. Luckily, some of the other leaders didn't want to either. I mean, really! Camping in -1 degree weather? Not even the Boy Scouts should attempt that! So now, I am looking forward to a relaxing, barf-free weekend. Please, please, please.....

More Barf.

And I sincerely apologize to anyone that we have come in contact with in the last week or so! I would never have guessed that it could stick around this long. Ugh.

It's the word of the day...need I say more?

Christmas Morning

Seth got a hold of a chocolate coin that came out of a stocking and LOVED it! Look at that face...so chocolatey and cute!

Action shots!

This was the first thing Natalie opened and she was content for quite a while. It was great!

Christmas was a peaceful day. And I loved it! Merry Christmas everyone!

Here's pics of the Christmas Caramels that I made:)

Ok, so they didn't really turn out like the soft caramels that I SO wanted, but the 9x13 brick of candy WAS tasty...it just had to broken in to pieces by beating on it with a hammer:)

Sam's 2nd Birthday!

Pics of Sam's Choo-Choo Cake!

The kids helped Sam open his presents.

This kid would be happy with only "vroom, vrooms"

It was a fun birthday...much better than his first birthday where he cried the whole time and refused to eat anything...especially cake! We went to Harry and Linda's and had a snowman party. We had chocolate cake which was too bad. Not that it was bad at the time, but Sam and I both got the stomach flu that night/next morning and I will not be able to eat chocolate cake for a long time!

In fact, the choo-choo cake I made was for the party we were having the next day with my family coming to our house. Turns out, no one came because we were sick and so we had this huge cake. I couldn't even look at it. I really couldn't smell it and there was NO WAY I was going to eat it. So sad. Ah, but Sam really liked that it was a choo-choo and that's all that mattered!

Happy Birthday, my cute little Sammy! We love you.

Abbey is the coolest!

So, my friend Abbey has started her own business and everyone needs to visit her website. Her products are amazingly adorable!!!! And so is her daughter, I might add! Way to go Abbey!!!
