Tomorrow is National Dog Day(for those of you that may not know:) and Levi's very first turn to take snacks to school. I never thought I would be one of "those" moms, but I totally am! You know, the ones who go all out to impress a bunch of 4 year olds? Really, I just wanted Levi's snacks to be the subject of everyone's dinner conversation. Does this happen with your kid?
"Levi, what did you do today in school?"
"Well, I forgot, Mommy."
"Oh, did you have a snack today?"
"Yes! We had a chocolate cake wrapped in paper so it wouldn't get messy with M&M's on top!" and on and on and on!!
So, I got a dog cookie cutter(thanks, Linda!) and George and I made Jello Dogs. Hee, hee! It was too funny! Red and blue jello dogs! I hope they make it into the building tomorrow! All that work....

Hi, National Dog Day is actually on August 26th. I just went to the main event in Malibu this year. It is a recognized holiday founded by Colleen Paige that celebrates our four-legged friends and working dogs but, most importantly, helps shelters place homeless dogs with loving families. You can find out more about it when you visit their site- www.nationaldogday.com. However, I know that my little dog thinks everyday is National Dog Day. ha ha ha
Ahh, so we're a month off:) At least we are learning to appreciate dogs! Thanks for the info!
great Pirates

So you're one of THOSE moms! I don't think I can ever compete with blue jello dogs! Very fun.
