George here. This is a picture of the antenna I built Thursday night:
So the whole reason for building this thing was that we didn't get Fox using our old rabbit ears. We have a convoluted setup that lets us use the old antenna for the digital channels, and the new antenna for analog Fox by switching one cable around. So today, I was flipping through the digital channels, with the old antenna attached, and suddenly we get Fox on the digital 55.1 channel and it is crystal clear. Yeah. So I'm calling this my own personal economic stimulus package for Lowe's and Radio Shack.

Antennas
So, George is in the process of building me an antenna. Why? Because I can't watch American Idol and I REALLY, REALLY want to. So he said he would build me an antenna. I will let you know if I get to see American Idol next week. If it doesn't work, will someone let me come and watch it at their house? :)

Brain-fog!
Exhausted. That's the word of the day. I wonder if we will ever sleep through the night again. Or maybe I just need to go to sleep earlier. Doesn't it seem that kids don't wake up until after midnight? I should go to bed at 8pm with the kids and then when I have to get up at 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6am, it won't seem so bad:) Ok, I didn't really get up at all those times last night...but I feel like I did. I am just tired. And brain-dead! Today would be a great day to sit around and do nothing, but alas! It is not in the cards. It will be a fun day...if I can just get out of my brain-fog. Maybe in a few years!

Sam and Emily's Duet
This is Emily and Sam playing the piano and singing a medley of "Twinkle, Twinkle" and "I am a Child of God" and "A,B,C's". My favorite part is the "musical chairs" that they play in the middle. It's kind of a long video, but oh, so sweet. I love these kids!

Cookies with No Calories
Last weekend, I made cookies (with lots of calories:). I left the kitchen and when I came back I saw this. Can you see what's wrong with this picture (besides the nasty grease spots on the paper underneath...we all know that grease is why cookies are so yummy, right)? Can you pick out the fake cookie? Geo had "planted" it while I was out of the kitchen and for some reason, I thought it was hilarious. It reminded of the time when Carrie's Matthew was hanging out at our house, found this cookie, and tried to take a big bite. I will never forget his face...he was MAD that it wasn't real (his mom makes THE BEST chocolate chip cookies). That is one tasty looking, calorie-free cookie. Sorry, Matthew!

Just call me Ginger Rogers...
George and I signed up for ballroom dancing classes this month and it's been so fun. We learned Salsa, Rumba, and the Foxtrot. We aren't good...but it's so fun. Too bad it's expensive. I was really impressed with the instructors and the whole place. They have open Friday night dances where we can go and practice what we've learned. Good times!

Grateful Sunday
I am not usually a Sunday blogger, but I really feel grateful today and wanted to share.
I am grateful for:
1. In-laws. My in-laws (and most of you already know this:) are THE BEST! Again and again, I witness their ability to reach out to anyone and serve. Especially us. I don't know what I did to deserve them, but I count myself blessed every day! Thank you, Harry and Linda.
2. Babies. As I watched Bec's baby being blessed, I was reminded how much Heavenly Father loves each one of us. As I watch my own kids, I know Heavenly Father loves me because he sent them to me.
3. Health. We have had our share (and more:) of sickness lately and I am grateful for the relatively good health we are enjoying at the moment. Now, if it can only last...
4. George. Words will never be enough to say how thankful I am for my husband. He truly is my best friend and soul mate.
5. Primary. I love what my kids learn there and I love serving there (more so this time around). I love it when kids are excited to be there. I suppose that I could skip the parts where kids throw up (that happened today) or when we feel like we have to put kids in trouble. But on the whole, I love it!
6. Parents. My parents are serving a mission on Temple Square. They are setting such a great example for my 3 boys and Natalie, too. I know they both feel out of their comfort zones, and this is what impresses me the most. They are amazing...they follow the Spirit and are obedient. I am very thankful for their example.
